Dr. Mahmoud Darvishan’s dental career started when he graduated in 1990 with honors with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Tehran. While in the dental program and later as a dentist he found his passion in dentistry is to give his patients a natural and beautiful smile. This led him to pursue a specialty Master's program in Prosthodontics at Tehran University. He ranked first in the specialty entrance exam as well as the specialty final board certification in the whole country. His extraordinary performance and the highest rankled him to serve as Chief Resident, Clinical Instructor, and later Assistant Professor.
He moved to Canada in the year 2001 and continued his studies at the Faculty of Dentistry University of Toronto. He is currently an Associate of Prosthodontic Department at the University of Toronto. He is thrilled to be a part of the teaching team at the faculty and enjoys teaching dental students new techniques to become competent dentists.
Dr. Darvishan and his wife Dr. Nilforoushan opened Laird Dental and Orthodontics in 2010. The practice provides all dental services as well as hygiene services. Their practice philosophy is to treat every patient like they treat their family!
During the 30 years of practice, Dr. Darvishan has treated many happy patients and performed a wide range of treatments. He has designed hundreds of smiles and placed thousands of veneers and implants with excellent results. He loves to see the effect of a beautiful smile in a person's confidence! His extensive background in prosthodontics and implant dentistry together with 30 years of experience in cosmetic and comprehensive treatments made him a master of rejuvenating smiles and smile makeovers!
Dr. Darvishan is a member of Canadian, American and Ontario Dental Associations, as well as the ITI-Straumann World Network of Implantologists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Darvishan is blessed to be a father of three children; two beautiful twin daughters and a gorgeous son, He lives in Toronto with his family and enjoys every moment of it!
