Dr. Nilforoushan has been honoured with several outstanding awards. These include the national Doctoral Research Award from Canadian Institute of Health Research. She has many publications in international journals and has done presentations in scientific meetings.

Dr. Mahmoud Darvishan
Dr. Darvishan continued his studies at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. Dr. Darvishan is a member of Canadian, American and Ontario Dental Associations, as well as the ITI-Straumann World Network of Implantologists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.

Dr. Darvishan is a member of Canadian, American and Ontario Dental Associations, as well as the ITI-Straumann World Network of Implantologists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Mahmoud Darvishan’s dental career started when he graduated in 1990 with honours with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Tehran. His passion to offer reconstructive smile enhancement led him to complete his Masters in Prosthodontics from Tehran University, where his extraordinary performance and the highest rank led to serve as Chief Resident, Clinical Instructor, and later Assistant Professor.
Dr. Darvishan later continued his studies at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. He continues to take advanced courses and hands-on training sessions to stay current in his field. His extensive background in prosthodontics and implant dentistry together with over twenty years of experience in cosmetic and comprehensive treatments enable him to enhance smiles efficiently. He is currently an Associate of Prosthodontic Department at the University of Toronto.
Dr. Darvishan is a member of Canadian, American and Ontario Dental Associations, as well as the ITI-Straumann World Network of Implantologists and the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry.
In addition to his career achievements, Dr. Darvishan and his wife are blessed with two beautiful twin daughters and a gorgeous son.

Dr. Nilforouhsan is currently involved with the Department of Orthodontics and the Dental Research Institute at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She aims to introduce new and enhanced methods of tooth movement in Orthodontics.
Dr. Dorrin Nilforoushan completed her dental training at the University of Toronto with Honours. Her deep interest in Orthodontics, along with her strong academic background, helped her achieve a place in the respected five year Ph.D. program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics (University of Toronto). All this was achieved before she had finished her dental degree. Dr. Nilforoushan is proud and humbled to be one of the few orthodontists in Ontario who has obtained a Ph.D. degree.
During her training, Dr. Nilforoushan has also been honoured with several outstanding awards. These include the national Doctoral Research Award from Canadian Institute of Health Research. She has many publications in international journals and has done presentations in scientific meetings.
Dr. Nilforushan’s clinical training was shaped by her continuous exposure to different aspects of patient needs and through her dentistry oriented family; including her father, mother and husband.
In addition, Dr. Nilforouhsan is currently involved with the Department of Orthodontics and the Dental Research Institute at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Toronto. She aims to introduce new and enhanced methods of tooth movement in Orthodontics.
In addition to her professional achievements, Dr. Nilforouhsan is blessed to be the mother of three kids, twin daughters and a son.
She is a fellow of Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of Canadian Association of Orthodontics, Ontario Dental Assocation and is a certified Invisalign provider.

Registered Dental Hygienist
Ralyn is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Laird Dental. She has been working with Dr. Darvishan for many years and is thrilled to be joining Laird Dental as a dental hygienist. Ralyn decided to change her career path to dental field from banking and finance when she moved to Canada. She worked as a certified dental assistant for six years and decided to go back to school to become a hygienist. Her experience in the dental field together with her outgoing personality makes her an efficient and caring hygienist. Her first priority is to make sure her patients are at ease while performing at the highest level. She is a hard worker who loves to spend time with family and work out. .

Dental Assistant
Niloofar is a Dental Assistant at Laird Dental. She was always fascinated by dentistry since she was a little girl, therefore she studied dentistry back home. When she moved to Canada she decided to start working as a Dental Assistant. Her knowledge of dentistry makes her familiar with dental procedures and allows her to be a caring and gentle assistant. She is always excited to greet patients and help them feel comfortable. Despite her high energy, she is always calm and attentive to her patients. In her free time, she reads books and listens to music and is a fan of tracking dental videos on Instagram!

Perry is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Laird Dental. He graduated from Oxford College and is passionate about helping his patients achieve their best smiles. Perry is very calm while being detail-oriented and super organized. Throughout his career, he had the privilege of working with diverse communities, enriching his experience and understanding of unique oral health needs. He is here to foster a warm, welcoming environment where his patients feel at ease during their appointments, and to help patients maintain optimal dental hygiene. During his free time, he enjoys playing with his two cats and riding his scooter around town.

Angelina has been working as a Dental Assistant for over 7 years and is fantastic at making patients feel
comfortable and at ease.
She grew up in Toronto and graduated from Canadian Business College. Her Favorite part of dentistry is seeing the results that cosmetic dentistry can do for her patients. She loves being a part of Laird Dental and Associates and enjoys being a part of a team that provides exceptional dentistry and takes such good care of patients.
Angelina and her family (two terrific kids, Madeline and Giorgio and her incredible husband Sam) couldn’t be happier living in the city and enjoying travelling together as a family. She loves her little teacup Yorkie Pacino and enjoys the fresh air and beautiful walks around the park with him.

After working and studying in the financial sector, Polina decided to pursue her dream for dentistry. She moved to Canada and joined the Laird Dental team as a Patient Coordinator. Being raised in a family with both parents being dentists, Polina’s passion for dentistry started when she was a little girl. She takes pride in providing efficient customer care and goes above and beyond to assure that our patients have an outstanding experience at Laird Dental. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her guinea pig, Angel and she posing for selfies!
