How often do I come in for a dental cleaning?
Dental cleaning is performed at least every six months. As everyone's teeth are unique the interval of your hygiene visit is determined by your teeth and gum health. At our practice we will advise you what is a healthy interval for your visits.
What is done at a dental cleaning?
Hard deposits that are attached on the teeth, or under the gum is removed either with a hand instrument or an electric one. All areas will be cleaned and the teeth will be polished followed by application of topical fluoride. Fluoride will help strengthen your teeth against cavities.
